Cultural Survival's living display of indigenous ecological wisdom captivated national attention at Environ Lanka '92, resulting in a Special Merit Award "for introducing to the exhibition an indigenous environmentally conducive lifestyle".
For the past decade Cultural Survival has spearheaded efforts to facilitate dialogue between the Government of Sri Lanka and its indigenous citizens.
